I have been privileged to enjoy a positive and successful career as an educator in addition to being a life-long learner through daily interactions with students and colleagues, involvement in professional organizations, and continued professional development. In 2014, I retired from Hempfield Area School District where I enjoyed a career as the World Language Department Chair, teacher of all levels of French, sponsor of the French Club and French Honor Society, coordinator of multiple student trips to Europe and various destinations in the United States, as well as other roles. In addition, I served as an adjunct instructor for the Scholar Program at La Roche College, cooperating teacher for student teachers from various universities, and French and Reading teacher at Greensburg Central Catholic High School (prior to employment at Hempfield). I served as the 2014-2015 president of the Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association (PSMLA) and continue to be a member of several professional organizations.
